So many people think white rice is healthy right? Wrong! White rice is a grain, which is part of the grass family of plants. So basically white rice is the same as bread. Along with all other types of rice.
White rice is particularly bad for you because it is processed and bleached with chemicals. The starch spikes your insulin levels, and your body stores the excess carbohydrate as FAT!
Healthy option: Quinoa. This is not a grain, it's actually a seed from Peru. It's closely related to beets and spinach. It's also easier to digest, and doesn't make you crash like a chocolate bar.
